Privacy Policy

Effective date: 03 Nov, 2026

Socialmasons (“we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information through www.socialmasons.com, our enquiries and our business communications.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact information: Your name, email address, telephone number and business name.
  • Business information: Your website, business profile links, services, locations and marketing priorities.
  • Communications: Information you provide through forms, email, telephone, WhatsApp or meetings.
  • Client information: Information reasonably required to prepare proposals, deliver agreed services and administer our relationship.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and website interactions, collected through server logs and any enabled analytics tools.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, medical information or other sensitive personal information through general enquiry forms.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to questions and service enquiries.
  • Prepare requested Growth Scores, assessments and proposals.
  • Deliver and administer agreed services.
  • Arrange meetings and communicate about projects.
  • Understand website use and improve our services.
  • Maintain security, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
  • Send marketing communications where we have the required consent or another lawful basis.

We limit collection and use to information reasonably needed for the purposes identified.

3. Growth Score requests

When you request a Growth Score, we use the information you submit, together with relevant publicly available business information, to review your online presence and provide recommendations.

We may contact you to clarify your request, deliver the assessment and discuss its findings. Requesting a Growth Score does not automatically subscribe you to an ongoing marketing mailing list.

4. Consent and your choices

We obtain consent where required and explain relevant purposes when collecting personal information. The form of consent depends on the information and the circumstances.

You may withdraw consent to certain uses by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. We will explain if withdrawal affects our ability to fulfil a request or provide a service.

5. Cookies and website technologies

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functions, security, preferences and, where enabled, analytics or advertising measurement.

Tools used on this website:
[Insert the actual analytics, advertising and embedded tools used, their purposes and relevant privacy-policy links. Remove categories that do not apply.]

Where required, we request consent before activating non-essential tracking technologies. You can manage available choices through our cookie controls and your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect website functionality.

6. When information is shared

We may disclose information:

  • To service providers supporting functions such as hosting, email, scheduling, customer management and agreed service delivery.
  • To authorised team members or contractors who need access for their work.
  • When you authorise a disclosure.
  • Where required or permitted by law, including to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.

We require service providers handling information on our behalf to protect it and limit its use to authorised purposes.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Processing outside Canada

Some service providers may store or process information outside Canada. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by its authorities.

We remain responsible for personal information under our control and use contractual or other appropriate measures to protect information transferred for processing.

8. Retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes identified, including service delivery, recordkeeping and applicable legal requirements. Information no longer required is securely deleted or anonymised, as appropriate.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Access, corrections and privacy requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, ask for corrections or raise concerns about its handling.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. If a legal exception limits what we can provide or change, we will explain the reason where permitted.

You may also ask us to delete information we no longer need or withdraw consent to optional uses.

10. Marketing communications

Where required, we obtain consent before sending promotional emails, texts or other commercial electronic messages.

You can unsubscribe using the instructions in a message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not prevent communications necessary to respond to your requests or administer an existing service relationship.

11. External websites and platforms

Our website may link to third-party websites or platforms. When you use those services, their own privacy policies and terms apply.

This includes communications through platforms such as WhatsApp and social media.

12. Information handled for clients

Where we process personal information on behalf of a client, our handling is also governed by the relevant service agreement and authorised instructions.

If your request concerns information controlled by one of our clients, we may direct you to that organisation or assist it in responding.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The revised version will appear on this page with an updated effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent where required.
